New York Fashion Week
The most hectic 4 days ever! As soon as I got to the hotel, I left for my first show. After I had already missed an event because I didn’t get in from the airport on time. It was run run all the time. Now I understand why everyone in the city is in a rush haha. I’ll put up a post tomorrow on what I would do differently after experiencing New York Fashion Week for the first time. Let’s talk about what we did first.
Favorite Show
Taoray Wang had such amazing pieces. We actually got to sit front row…never, EVER thought that would happen! Here’s a shot from the show.
Where We Stayed
One of my roommates found the perfect location in TriBeCa. It was close to all the shows and a lot of fun places to eat.
Food
Ok, this is my favorite part of every new city, especially New York. We ate pizza in Little Italy (so yummy!), had cheesecake (creamiest!) after Broadway, Sarabeth’s (pizza again lol), Lauduree macaroons, a hot dog (obvi), and ended the week going to a Speak Easy. Yes, very few meals for 4 days. I was starving all the time lol.
Places
My roommate, Silvia, was the nicest to take me to all the places I wanted to see. She’s a boss at the subway and got us everywhere and back quickly. Me on the other hand…still scared haha. We went to the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, near the 9/11 Memorial, Broadway, Flat Iron District, Central Park, The Plaza Hotel, 5th Ave…all in between shows! I tell ya we were going none stop.
It was so fun, though! It was surreal to see all these places in real life. We still have so much more to go to and can’t wait to go back.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
