My 1st Laser Hair Removal Experience
Before we get into all those deets, can we talk about this top for a sec?? SO obsessed! Love the straps and ruffles <3
On to laser hair removal…
I always said that the first thing I would do with my first big girl paycheck would be to get the treatment done. And so said, so done. Did my research, read reviews, picked out a place, and had a consultation. The lady said we could book 6 sessions and so it started.
First session – Holy Cannoli! Didn’t know it was going to hurt THAT bad. It was painful ya’ll. Obviously, some areas more than others. Once the first session was done, I asked if there was ANYTHING to take or an ointment to help numb the skin. She said to take Advil 30 min but no numbing creams bc it could affect the results. FYI Advil didn’t do much.
Second session – “I don’t want to go!! I’m totally ok shaving for the rest of my life.” But I had already paid soo there I went for the third, fourth…until the sixth.
Fast forward to the fifth session – Told my new treatment lady I wasn’t seeing any results. Yes, the other one left the company after my fourth session (???). Maybe a 10% of the hair was gone. She felt bad and gave me a 7th session for free, which really didn’t do anything.
After 7 painful sessions and a lot of money wasted, laser hair removal was the last thing I wanted to hear about. Until I was at the beauty salon and met Cheryl from Skin Solutions Med Spa. Told her all about my experience, asked all the questions, and she assured that her laser would give me good results. She left me her brochure with current deals and thought about doing the underarms – 6 sessions for $200. Then, got too scared and didn’t do it. A week or two later, Cheryl contacted me for a collaboration. Immediately said yes..she had just seemed to knowledgeable and sweet. So tomorrow is my first treatment and I can’t wait to share the results with you! It will be while before final results but I will update you here and there.
If you have ANY questions or concerns about laser hair removal, leave them in the comments below, on Instagram or send me an email. Cheryl will be so nice to answer those for you. Post with all the answers coming up next week.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Tuesday!
