All About My Camera
Ya’ll really liked last week’s post on my tips to take blog pictures yourself (read here) so I wanted to share a little more on that topic. More on the camera later. First, let’s talk about this camel coat. I’ve been on the search for an affordable one for the longest time. Loved pairing it with an all white outfit, just makes it pop. Also obsessed with the wrapped version, but it was sold out in my size (linked above).
Now back to the camera. My parents gave it to me as a graduation present..around two years ago. That tells ya how long ago I actually wanted to start a blog :). My camera is the Canon T3i. It’s not the most advanced but definitely a great starter one. It ranges from $350 to $600, depending if you buy used, new, only body, or kit. Also, just found out it is discontinued and hard to find! At the time it was purchase, it came with two lenses. I suggest you only buy the body and then purchase the 50mm 1.8 lens, the one that gives you the blurred background. Most bloggers and photographers encourage you to shoot in manual mode. I’m not very knowledgeable on shooting manual but read what settings to use and have stuck with those. Set ISO at 100, F-Stop at 1.8, and change exposure according to how much light I’m working with when shooting. A little tip, sunlight is the best for shooting!
If you have any other questions, please let me know. I enjoy sharing my tips and tricks :).
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Monday!
