Petite Problems
I got this sweater from ASOS (not the petite section), and when I first saw it, I was like nooo way. This is going to look like a sack on me! Tried it on and put it back in the box…cute off the shoulder sweater was going back! Of course I procrastinated in sending it back and a couple of days later, I saw Jean from Extra Petite post about an off the shoulder sweater she styled as a dress. Genuis! She cinched the top at the waist and it looked just like it was supposed to be a dress. So I took the tip from the petite style guru herself and kept the sweater. I opted to still style it as a top but instead tucked it in for a better fit. Whenever I wear the sweater as a dress, I’ll cinch at the waist to give it some form just like Jean did. Love that it will double as two outfits! Thank you, Jean!
Now for the denim, I always, always get asked where these are from, and no one ever believes when I say Hollister. Unfortunately, it was a while back. In the past two to three years, they have definitely upped their game. They’re moving away from the branded everything…hallelujah!! It was about time! But I don’t think a lot of people know this. I’ve actually heard people make fun of them and then ask me where an item is from and it’s ended up being from Hollister..lol! I still visit Hollister and Abercrombie just to make sure I’m not missing out on anything, especially because their clothes actually fit me! I say don’t knock ’em til you try ’em!
